What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address and subscription status. When you save recipes to the cloud (Pro feature), we store the recipe data you choose to save. We do not collect browsing history, contacts, or any data unrelated to the app's core function.

How we use your data

Your email is used to create and manage your account and to send transactional emails (receipts, password resets). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Recipe data you save is used solely to provide the saved recipes feature back to you.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Clean Recipe:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We never see or store your card details.
• OpenAI — AI-powered nutrition estimates (Pro users only). Ingredient data is sent to OpenAI to generate estimates and is not retained by OpenAI beyond the request.

Local storage

Recipes saved locally (Free tier) are stored entirely on your device and never transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser data will remove these recipes.

Chrome extension

The Clean Recipe Chrome extension only accesses the URL of the active tab when you click "Extract current page." It does not read page content, track your browsing, or run in the background.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You can export your saved recipes from the Saved Recipes page.
